Here's a list of changes and bugfixes for the Version 1.1
Bugfixes: - File history menu fixed
- Choosing "Mark/Edit-Mode" in the context menu caused an exception when the bookmark column or line number display column is selected
- No GUI stuck when trying to load non-existing files
- Fast closing of multiple tabs don't let the GUI to appear hung anymore
- In the Highlighting dialog: Entering text and pressing "Apply" lead to an exception
- Highlight-Dialog lost all changes when loading another file
- Filter view entries were out of order sometimes
- Filter view and bookmark list were not cleared when a watched file is deleted
- On file reloading (because of rollover) some filter entries got lost
- Files with same name but different lower/uppercase were loaded twice when opened again
- Some fixes for the MultiFile feature (empty lines, mixed up file names)
- Sporadic exception when using filter while watching a fast changing file fixed
Improved: - Help file shrinked by using gif images instead of jpegs
- Tabs now show a special icon when the displayed log file is missingĀ
- Deleted files will be reloaded as soon as they re-appear
- Tab GUI improvements: Close tab with middle mouse button, context menu on tabs for closing tabs
- The tool buttons now display the icon of the launched application. The tooltip displays the complete command line.
- Ctrl+O shortcut added (file open)
- Timestamp columnizer has new date formats "yyyy-MM-dd" and "dd MMM yyyy"
- Filter performance improved, especially on filters with many search hits. Filter-to-tab performance improved
- 'Filter tail' and active filter tabs don't let the GUI thread to appear hung anymore on massive file changes
- When loading a new file into an existing instance (allow only 1 instance option is checked) LogExpert's window will be become the foreground window
- Tabs show full file name as tool tip. Filter tabs show the filter search string as tool tip
- On external tools command line args: If path names contain spaces they will be put in double quotes
- MultiFile: Use Alt-Up and Alt-Down keys to navigate to file boundaries when using MultiFile
Features: - Selecting 2 lines in the logfile view will display the timestamp difference between the 2 lines in the status bar. This works only if a Columnizer with timestamp support is active
- The tool argument line can have variable parameters now. These variable parameters will be queried on every tool launch.
- Columnizers can have a config dialog. New config callback functions were added to the Columnizer API. Existing columnizers are still compatible.
- The filter can be restricted to search only in one or more columns (when using a Columnizer).
- Tabs can be coloured individually (context menu on tab). A history of 40 file names and its colors is stored in the settings.
- Last viewed files can be opened automatically on next startup (must be enabled in the settings)
- Indicator-LED for Tail-mode. (on/off/off by trigger)
- New feature 'Freeze columns' in context menu of table headers. Frozen columns will stay locked when scrolling the line horizontally.
